Where is Sonia is run by Sonia Traore, based in the United Kingdom. This page explains in plain language what personal data I collect and how I use it. If you have any questions, email me at whereissoniauk@gmail.com.
What I collect and why
Free guide: your name and email address, so I can send you the guide. I only send you news and updates if you tick the box to sign up for them.
Booking a call: your name and email address, so I can schedule our call and send you the details.
Coaching and The Go Solo Plan: your contact and order details, and what you choose to share with me about your trip, so I can deliver the service you bought.
Messages: anything you send me by email or WhatsApp, so I can reply.
Website use: cookies and basic information about your visit, so the site works properly and I can see how it is used. Non-essential cookies are only used if you accept them, and you can change your choice using the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of each page.
Under UK data protection law, I use your data because you asked for it or agreed to it, to deliver what you bought, to meet legal duties such as keeping tax records, or for my legitimate interest in running my business.
Tools I use
I do not sell your data. I only share it with the tools I use to run my business:
Squarespace: my website, forms, and payments. I do not receive your full card number.
Google: Gmail for email, Google Calendar for bookings, and Google Meet for our calls.
WhatsApp: if we message each other there. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, but WhatsApp handles your phone number and basic usage information.
Pinterest: only if you click a Save button on a blog image.
Some of these companies may store data outside the UK, including in the United States, relying on safeguards recognized under UK data protection law.
How long I keep it
I only keep your data for as long as I need it. Order records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires. You can ask me to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, object to how I use it, ask me to limit its use, or request a copy. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Just email whereissoniauk@gmail.com, and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
